Gladstone Park, Dollis Hill: A talk on Fred Kormis, the sculptor behind the Park’s Grade II listed Memorial
September 29, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Dr Barbara Warnock of the Wiener Holocaust Library will be talking about the life and career of Fred Kormis, the sculptor who was a prisoner of war for five years during WWI in Siberia, and was exiled to Britain from 1934. The Library has reunited some of his most important works in the exhibition, Fred Kormis: Sculpting the Twentieth Century, on display until 6 February.
This talk is held at Kormis’s public sculpture, the Memorial in Memory of Prisoners of War and Victims of Concentration Camps 1914-1945 and is organised in partnership with the Friends of Gladstone Park.
The ‘what three words’ location of the memorial is back.deputy.pill.
