SUMMARY:David Baddiel & Matt Lucas discuss acquiring German citizenship
DESCRIPTION:The Wiener Holocaust Library\, in partnership with The Association of Jewish Refugees and Ambassador Miguel Berger of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in London present an evening with David Baddiel and Matt Lucas to explore the perspectives of descendants of German-Jewish refugees on acquiring German citizenship. \nDavid Baddiel is second-generation – his mother was a child refugee from Nazi Germany. David is in the process of applying for German citizenship. Matt Lucas’ is third-generation – his grandmother fled from Nazi Germany. Matt has already received his German passport. \nJoin us at Westminster Synagogue on 19 January 2023 for what will be a fascinating evening. There will also be the opportunity to join a tour of the Czech Scrolls Musuem which is in the same building. Places are very limited so please sign up now if you would like to join the tour. The tour will begin at 5.30pm and the talk at 6.30pm. \nPlease note there will be a photographer present.
