This virtual HMD talk, aimed at GCSE and A-Level students, will utilise sources from the Library’s unique archive to examine the topic of ‘liberation’. It will contextualise the final events of the Holocaust, explore the concept of ‘liberation’, consider life after ‘liberation’ in DP camps and frame why it is so important that we remember the Holocaust today.

In this virtual PhD and a Cup of Tea presentation, Jake Holliday will draw upon official records, survivors’ accounts and post-war criminal trial papers to try and understand what happened in Białystok that day.
