In this talk, aimed at GCSE and A-Level students and teachers, the Library’s Education Officer, Kiera Fitzgerald, will draw upon the Library’s rich and diverse collections of original historical material to provide an introduction to the key events and the main features of the Holocaust.

Black people experienced persecution and discrimination before, during and after the Third Reich in Germany and elsewhere. This workshop will utilise the Library’s valuable collections to crucially explore how the persecution of the black community by the Nazi regime was not straightforward and followed a different timeline to the persecution of other groups.
