In 1934, a year after Hitler came into power, Violet Bonham Carter published this pamphlet to bring to light the suffering of Jewish children in Germany, asking every person in Britain to consider what help they could give.
“I want to make clear my profound conviction that this is not a matter which concerns the Jewish community alone. It concerns all who believe in justice and in our common humanity. It concerns all who care about the welfare of children and their happiness.”
